GLOBAL SKILLS PROJECT
The Global Citizenship Skills Project Programme empowers students to discover and develop their potential by approaching challenges creatively, sharing diverse perspectives, and collaborating effectively throughout project work. Step by step, the programme supports students in becoming independent learners driven by curiosity, critical thinking, and a growing sense of responsibility as both local and global citizens.
Model United Nations (MUN) – UTS “Delegates” explore solutions for sustainable education
The Model United Nations (MUN) at UTS is an annual simulation conference held in celebration of United Nations Day (24 October). The event helps students deepen their understanding of global issues while developing essential life skills such as communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. Through this experience, UTS-ers are inspired to become compassionate leaders who contribute to meaningful change for future generations.
Identity Fair – Discovering personal identity to create positive impact
Designed to encourage students to explore their interests, develop creativity, and bring unique ideas to life, the Identity Fair is an annual interdisciplinary learning event within the International Programme. It has become a meaningful platform for Secondary UTS-ers to shape and express their individual identities while connecting with shared community values through purposeful and inspiring messages.
The “Multilingual Travel Guide” Project – Helping international friends discover Vietnam
With the theme “Improving Communities Through Technology”, Grade 5 UTS-ers completed their final presentations for the “Multilingual Travel Guide” project. This initiative contributes to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, encouraging innovation to support economic growth and improve quality of life while helping students apply their learning in meaningful real-world contexts.
Digital Citizenship Week – Building a safe and positive online environment
Through a wide range of Digital Citizenship projects, students from different grade levels work together to consolidate their learning and help the wider community better understand how to use digital platforms responsibly and respectfully. These activities encourage students to become thoughtful and responsible digital citizens in an increasingly connected world.
“Global citizenship mindset” project – Building readiness for a connected world
Over the course of five months, with the support of dedicated educators, Primary UTS-ers researched and explored intercultural topics such as history, geography, and notable figures from countries around the world. Their learning journey culminated in a showcase of meaningful and creative work, coming together as a vibrant reflection of a diverse and interconnected world.
