At schools certified as OxfordAQA Examination Centres, students can study various subjects and earn GCSEs (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and A-levels (Advanced Level qualifications), giving them a competitive edge when applying to top universities worldwide. The prestige of the OxfordAQA assessment system: AQA is the largest and longest-established examination board in the UK offering GCSEs and A-level qualifications. It is an official partner of over 80 international schools across Asia, Europe, and Africa. 61% of students achieve A and A+ in Mathematics in the A-level program. 74.8% of students score 7+ in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Computer Science in the GCSE program. Topping-out ceremony of UTS Saigon South campus – a bilingual International K-12 School
With the mission “Growing Talent With Care”, UTS continues our journey of nurturing talented students at the new campus: UTS Saigon South – a billingual International K-12 school located in Phong Phu 5 Residential Area, Binh Chanh, Ho Chi Minh City. On July 1, 2024, the project officially reached the topping out stage for the Primary and Kindergarten campuses, marking a promising new milestone for a high-quality, comprehensive educational project in the southern part of the city. Topping Out Ceremony of UTS Saigon South Campus: A Promising Educational Project UTS Saigon South Campus is the third campus of the leading bilingual school system in Ho Chi Minh City. The campus is built in Phong Phu 5 Residential Area, Binh Hung (old Binh Chanh district), one of the central locations in the area, connecting major urban districts such as District 8, District 5, and District 7. The ceremony, attended by representatives from partner units, Board of Directors of Van Lang Education Group, and staff of UTS, was a great success, marking a new milestone for the entire UTS Community with a promising educational project. During the ceremony, Mrs. Bui Thi Van Anh, Vice President of the Board of Directors of Van Lang Education Group and Chairman of the Board of Van Lang University, emotionally shared: “It has been exactly 81 days since the groundbreaking ceremony. The project has progressed at an incredible pace, measured by days and hours, day by day marking significant progress. This remarkable pace is not only a testament to the close coordination among all relating units but also the result of extraordinary efforts from all parties involved, regardless of sun or rain, day or night. UTS co-hosts international symposium with Oxford University Press, fostering sustainable education and student well-being.
On August 8th, UTS Vietnam Talent International School was proud and honored to co-host the “OIC Symposium – Oxford International Program” training workshop. This event marks an important step in expanding UTS’s international collaboration and demonstrates our ongoing commitment to enhancing educational quality, providing students with advanced and comprehensive learning experiences. Networking and learning with dedicated educators The training workshop attracted more than 80 dedicated educators from across the country, creating a vibrant environment for networking and learning. Drring the workshop, teachers received updated on the latest information from the Oxford International Program (Oxford University Press – OUP) for the 2024-2025 academic year. Additionally, the event provided an opportunity to review and assess the development of the OIC International Program in the 2023-2024 academic year, drawing valuable insights for the future. Meaningful educational perspectives from Dr. Karem Roitman One of the highlights of the workshop was the meaningful speech by Dr. Karem Roitman, DPhil in International Development from Oxford University. She stated, “Artificial Intelligence (AI) cannot replace teachers, as teaching is not just about conveying knowledge but also about connection and mentorship.” Dr. Roitman provided all attendees with a profound perspective on the irreplaceable role of educators in today’s technologically advanced era. Her views reaffirmed the core value of educators and emphasized the importance of building relationships and providing emotional support to students. At UTS, teachers dedicate themselves to guiding students through their journey of knowledge exploration and comprehensive development. Growing a child does not merely teach from textbooks but also nurture valuable values and skills, helping students become confident and ready to integrate globally as global citizens. Sustainability – A new subject that UTS pioneers in teaching in the Oxford International Curriculum
Sustainability is the newest addition to the Oxford International Curriculum (OIC) implemented by Oxford University Press (OUP). UTS is proud to be one of the first schools to pilot the Sustainability subject in Ho Chi Minh City. New aspects of the subject framework and transmitted knowledge will be addressed in this article. Learn about a sustainable future through this new subject With Sustainability, students access to the core content, skills, and mindset needed to participate in creating a sustainable future for themselves and society. This subject focuses on three domains: Living on planet Earth: Examining the overall relationship between humans and the planet. Taking responsibility for the difference we make: Understanding and taking responsibility for our impact on life. Making change: Initiating changes, starting from small actions to promote sustainable development. UTS pioneers in teaching Sustainability within the educational framework In the initial first stages of integrating the new subject into the educational framework, UTS students at the primary school level have chance to experience the Sustainability class. Alongside acquiring new knowledge, students also learn how to apply it in practice by engaging with their surroundings to solve problems given by teachers. They were enthusiastic and enjoyed the lesson, reflecting the philosophy that OIC always emphasizes: “The joy of learning”. In the foreseeable future, by officially implementing the subject as a part of the school’s educational framework, UTS aims to equip students with a solid foundation to become global citizens in the 21st century.

Project: “New Gen – Golden Melodies”
To honor the history of Vietnam, the educational project New Gen 2 with ‘Golden Melodies’ theme, has successfully recreated traditional costumes, highlighting the diverse characteristics of the Vietnamese from all regions in the country. With sophisticated preparation, the impressive performances by UTS-ers contributed to a visually stunning, fascinating, and unique project. Beyond professional performance on stage, students also learned public speaking skills and how to confidently express their opinions.

UTS CLUB 101: Garden Startup Club announcement “It’s the harvest season again!”
Under the direction of teacher Kim Tho, UTS students in the club learn to independently sow, nurture, and maintain a healthy vegetable garden without the use of harmful chemicals detrimental to health and the environment. From there, in every harvest, students supply the UTS community with reasonable price. This serves to spread nutritious, clean veggies as a value of “Contribution”, while also accumulating funds for the next planting season.
